Buenas Tardes Familias de La Promesa. Hoy fue nuestro último día de aprendizaje en persona hasta el 19 de enero. Comenzaremos con el aprendizaje completamente remoto el lunes 30 de noviembre. Los maestros están trabajando arduamente para hacer esta transición, y sus horarios de clases se publicarán en Schoology antes del 30. Good Afternoon La Promesa Families. Today was our last day of in-person learning until January 19th. We will begin fully remote learning Monday November 30th. Teachers are working hard to make this transition, and they will have their class schedules posted on Schoology before the 30th. Our office staff will be here Monday to Friday from 7:30-4:00 to answer any questions. Please enjoy the Thanksgiving break, and we look forward to seeing you online.

Good Evening La Promesa Families. We will be having hybrid instruction this week at school. A reminder, our Disguise a Turkey contest ends tomorrow November 16th. The entries can be dropped off at school or sent in electronically with a photo, scan or upload. Looking forward to seeing all those turkeys!

Join us for a fun family project! Disguise Tom Turkey Objective: To disguise Tom Turkey so the farmer can’t find him when it’s time for dinner! Directions: You will be provided with a blank turkey template. Decorate/disguise your turkey. Be creative and use any materials you want! Then work together to write a few sentences about his disguise and how he manages to escape. (Some ideas: snowman, penguin, a princess, a clown, a football player) Please send in your disguised turkey by November 16. You can drop off your turkey in the office, take a picture of your turkey and email it to montoyac@beleneagles.org, or send it in to your teacher. The best disguised turkey from each grade will win a frozen ham! November 2, 2020 Confirmed Case of COVID-19: Belen Consolidated Schools has confirmed a student has tested positive for COVID-19. The student attends La Promesa Elementary School, which is located in Belen, NM. The areas were cleaned several times. Individuals that were in close contact have been placed in quarantine. All the appropriate steps as per NMPED guidance has been completed. If you feel you have any symptoms of COIVD-19, please contact the Department of Health Coronavirus Hotline at 1-855-600-3453. If you have any concerns, please call the district at (505) 966-1271.

Belen Consolidated Schools will be closed October 27th, 2020 due to inclement weather.

Good afternoon La Promesa Families. We are in a challenging situation right now, and many people are rightfully very concerned. We have followed all directives given by the New Mexico Department of Health to provide a safe environment for our students. All individuals that were in close contact with the individual that tested positive have been quarantined and will be tested for COVID-19. All areas of the school building will be open on Monday, October 5th, and we will keep you updated with any new information. The safety of our students always remains our top priority.
