January 24, 2021 Confirmed Case of COVID-19: Belen Consolidated Schools has confirmed an employee at La Promesa Elementary School in Belen, NM has tested positive for COVID-19. There were no close contacts and all areas the employee was in have been deep cleaned. All the appropriate steps as per NMPED guidance has been completed. If you feel you have any symptoms of COVID-19, please contact the Department of Health Coronavirus Hotline at 1-855-600-3453. If you have any concerns, please call the district at (505) 966-1271.
Hello La Promesa Families. Belén Consolidated Schools employees will begin receiving their COVID vaccines on Thursday January 14th. Our office will be closed that afternoon for staff to receive the vaccine. Also, teachers will not be having live classes, but will have student assignments on their Schoology page. Thank you.

Good morning La Promesa Families. We currently are experiencing a power outage in our area. At this time, we do not know when the power will restored, and our online classes are postponed for the time being. We apologize for the inconvenience and are hoping to be back in class as soon as possible.
Good morning La Promesa families and welcome to the second semester of the school year. Our bus drivers will be delivering meals today at their regular scheduled times. Online instruction will resume tomorrow, January 5th. Please check your child's teacher's Schoology page for the schedules. We welcome Ms. Porsha Rimorin as our new Art teacher. Her classes will follow the same schedule as Ms. Schulz's classes from the first semester. Our office hours are 8:00 to 3:00 Monday through Friday. Please call us at 966-2400 with any questions. Teachers are working hard to make this transition, and they will have their class schedules posted on Schoology before the 30th. Disfraz Tom El Pavo
Objetivo: Disimular a Tom el Pavo así el agricultor no puede encontrarlo cuando es tiempo para la cena!
Indicaciones: Recibirá una plantilla de pavo en blanco para este proyecto. Decora/disfraza el pavo. Sean creativos y pueden utilizar cualquier material que desee! Luego pueden trabajar juntos para escribir unas cuantas oraciones sobre su disfraz y cómo se las arregla para escapar. (Algunas ideas: muñeco de nieve, pingüino, una princesa, un payaso, un jugador de fútbol)
Por favor envíe su pavo disfrazado antes del 16 de noviembre. Puede dejar su pavo en la oficina, tomar una foto de su pavo y enviarla por correo electrónico a montoyc@beleneagles.org, o enviársela a su maestro/a.

Disguise Tom Turkey
Objective: To disguise Tom Turkey so the farmer can’t find him when it’s time for dinner!
Directions: You will be provided with a blank turkey template. Decorate/disguise your turkey. Be creative and use any materials you want! Then work together to write a few sentences about his disguise and how he manages to escape. (Some ideas: snowman, penguin, a princess, a clown, a football player)
Please send in your disguised turkey by November 16. You can drop off your turkey in the office, take a picture of your turkey and email it to montoyac@beleneagles.org, or send it in to your teacher.
The best disguised turkey from each grade will win a frozen ham!
