BMS Families: Just a reminder that this week will be the last week free tutoring will be offered at BMS. BMS Families: We will be collecting student technology equipment on May 18th (A-day) and May 19th (B-day) during your student’s Social Studies class. If your student has a laptop, hot spot, and laptop bag, please have them bring them on that day so we can check them in. They will also need to bring the chargers as well. Thank you!

BMS families,: Tomorrow we are hosting our career day at the middle school. Students will have the opportunity to meet with several different businesses and organizations both locally and from the Albuquerque area. Your student will be given a reflection form to fill out as they visit. We are asking, if you get a chance, to take a look at that form tomorrow evening, giving you and your child an opportunity to discuss what they want their future to look like, especially as the prepare for high School. Please sign the completed form and return it to their ESP teacher on Friday. Thank you.
BMS Families: Just a reminder that we are continuing with state testing. There was a minor change I needed to make to the schedule to accommodate end of year events we want to have at BMS. Please, if you know your student will need to leave early for an appointment on a day they will be testing, please let their teacher know in advance. Once a student begins a test session, they are NOT allowed to pause the test to continue another day. They must complete the test session once it begins. Thank you for your understanding!

BMS Families: Yearbooks are still on sale for $35. However, we have two deadlines for purchasing. If you want to pay cash in room 203, the deadline this Thursday April 6th. The second option is to order online at www.ybpay.com and the school number is 14784123. The deadline for online purchase is May 1st, 2023. We will try to get extra books to sell on campus when the shipment arrives in May. Thank you.

BMS Families: Exciting news for Belen Middle School! The Spring Attendance Competition will begin April 3rd thru April 28th. Students who attend school every day will be rewarded with a movie and pizza party hosted by the BCS Attendance for Success Team and Belen Middle School!! Good Evening Wonderful BMS Families: I would like to introduce to you to a program that we will implementing during our Eagle Success Period (ESP/Advisory) for our students. This program is provided through the Reception Assessment Center (RAC). Students will be taking home a permission slip to participate. They will have this course one time per week. As many of you know, the issues described in the informational tools below, such as vaping, etc. are a constant struggle for us at BMS. Many of you wonder, as do I, what can be done. I am hoping that by educating our students about the dangers and effects of these behaviors, more students will think twice before partaking in these behaviors. Jenna Rael, from RAC will be holding a parent informational meeting this Wednesday, January 25th at 5:30 pm to answer any questions you may have about this program. The meeting will take place at the BMS Media Center on campus. Permission slips to participate, will be going out this Tuesday. Thank you for your help in this matter!
