Belen Middle School Families: Just a reminder BMS Student schedules are ready for pick up. Eighth grade students will be able to pick up their schedules and complete renewal paperwork tomorrow, July 18th from 8:00 am-2:00 pm. Incoming 7th grade students can pick up their schedules on Wednesday, July 19th from 8:00 am-2:00 pm. A parent or guardian will need to accompany their scholar so renewal paperwork can be completed. We will be located in the Belen Middle School Media Center. Students will also need to come so they can take a picture for their BMS photo ID. See you soon!!!
Belen Middle School Parents: Belen Middle School, 7th and 8th grade students, who are interested in participating in Belen Middle School Football, practice will begin tonight, July 17th. Practice will be Monday-Thursday from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm at the BMS field. Students must have a completed physical and all paperwork completed in Rank One in order to participate in practices. Players will be working on conditioning so bring a lot of water! Thank you!

Belen Middle School Families: The electrical and HVAC issues have been resolved. Office staff has returned to Belen Middle School. Thank you for your patience.

Good Evening BMS Families: Reminder that the next two school days, Thursday and Friday, are early release days. Students will be dismissed at 11:30 am. Please make sure your students DO NOT bring backpacks tomorrow or Friday. All necessary supplies will be provided to your student for the next two days by the classroom teacher. Also, if your student has not turned in electronics or accessories that were checked out to them, please have them bring those items to the media center. Thank you!
BMS Families: Just a reminder that this week will be the last week free tutoring will be offered at BMS. If your student needs extra help before the end of the quarter, have them report to the front of the office this Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30 pm-4:30 pm. They must have work with them. Thank you!
BMS Families: Please make sure your student brings their laptop and charger to school on Monday and Tuesday. We will be administering required testing in the classrooms. Thank you!
BMS Families: We will be collecting student technology equipment on May 18th (A-day) and May 19th (B-day) during your student’s Social Studies class. If your student has a laptop, hot spot, and laptop bag, please have them bring them on that day so we can check them in. They will also need to bring the chargers as well. Thank you!
BMS Families: Kathleen Pickering, Belen Public Library Director, and artist and arts educator Paula Castillo are excited to announce “WHERE HOME IS,” a BCS District-wide student art exhibit hosted by the Belen Public Library and curated by the Young Curators Club (YCC) from Infinity High School. This exhibit will feature student artwork from throughout the district including our very own Belen Middle School art students instructed by Camellia Termini! BMS families,: Tomorrow we are hosting our career day at the middle school. Students will have the opportunity to meet with several different businesses and organizations both locally and from the Albuquerque area. Your student will be given a reflection form to fill out as they visit. We are asking, if you get a chance, to take a look at that form tomorrow evening, giving you and your child an opportunity to discuss what they want their future to look like, especially as the prepare for high School. Please sign the completed form and return it to their ESP teacher on Friday. Thank you.
BMS Families: Just a reminder that we are continuing with state testing. There was a minor change I needed to make to the schedule to accommodate end of year events we want to have at BMS. Please, if you know your student will need to leave early for an appointment on a day they will be testing, please let their teacher know in advance. Once a student begins a test session, they are NOT allowed to pause the test to continue another day. They must complete the test session once it begins. Thank you for your understanding!

BMS Families: Yearbooks are still on sale for $35. However, we have two deadlines for purchasing. If you want to pay cash in room 203, the deadline this Thursday April 6th. The second option is to order online at www.ybpay.com and the school number is 14784123. The deadline for online purchase is May 1st, 2023. We will try to get extra books to sell on campus when the shipment arrives in May. Thank you.

BMS Families: Exciting news for Belen Middle School! The Spring Attendance Competition will begin April 3rd thru April 28th. Students who attend school every day will be rewarded with a movie and pizza party hosted by the BCS Attendance for Success Team and Belen Middle School!! We look forward to celebrating those students who have perfect attendance for the month of April.
