Good Morning BMS Families: I wanted to communicate with you all regarding some events that took place at the BMS Winter ball last night. Students reported an individual, dressed in black with his face covered trying to enter the building. There was also a report that he had a gun. We informed Belen PD regarding this concern. Upon their investigation, including viewing hours of surveillance footage, it was determined that the individual was a student who was suspended from BMS and was not allowed to attend the dance. The footage shows the individual attempting to have students open the door for him to let him in. There was also another claim that there was a gun hidden in the girls 200 restroom. That restroom was searched thoroughly, and no weapon was found. We continue to work closely with Belen PD to ensure that all staff and students are safe. Thank you! Mrs. Montoya and Mr. Duran- BMS Administrative Team

Good evening BMS families: Due to unforeseen circumstances we have combined the 8th grade Social Studies classes into one classroom. The classroom is larger than the standard classroom size to accommodate the number of students. All the students will be working with Ms. Rankin in room 137. The decision to combine the classes together was made with the students' best interests in mind. By doing this the students will be receiving the required curriculum with the least disruption in their education. All measures will be taken to disinfect the surfaces after each class and students will of course be required to wear masks appropriately. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Ms. Rankin. Rankina@beleneagles.org
