Good Morning BMS Families! We wanted to let you know that BCS has decided that we will remain in the Remote Learning system for the remainder of the semester. This decision was made due to the uncertainty of if an when we might be returning to campus this semester. We want students to know to continue to log in daily to Schoology to complete assignments and attend Teams meetings as they work towards proficiency and that they are working with their Advisory teacher each week if they need support. October 16, 2020 Confirmed Case of COVID-19
Belen Consolidated Schools has confirmed three staff member that have tested positive for COVID-19 through are surveillance testing all three individuals are asymptotic. The individuals work at Belen Middle School, Rio Grande Elementary School, and Technology all are located in Belen, NM. With an abundance of caution the district will close the classrooms that the individuals were in for 24 hours for a deep cleaning. All individuals that were in close contact have been placed in quarantine. All the appropriate steps as per NMPED guidance has been completed. If you feel you have any symptoms of COIVD-19, please contact the Department of Health Coronavirus Hotline at 1-855-600-3453. If you have any concerns, please call the district at (505) 966-1271.

BMS Family Reminders! The Beginning of Year Illuminate testing window for Math and ELA closes on Friday. If your student has not taken their Illuminate tests, please have them contact their teachers for support. Grades close on Wednesday, October 14th. Please make sure your student is logging in daily to their classes and completing work. If you need access to PowerSchool, please contact your student's Advisory teacher. Student Nutrition at BMS continues to make and provide breakfast and lunch from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm daily. Parents may pick up meals for students by providing their student’s name and student ID number. Take care!!

On Thursday, September 24, 2020, at 11:00 am., Gil Sanchez Elementary School was officially announced as a 2020 National Blue Ribbon School.
It is amazing to see that Gil Sanchez will be nationally recognized for all their efforts and success.

Good Afternoon BMS Families. Belen Middle School will continue with the Remote Learning model until we receive go-ahead from the Public Education Department to move to the In-Person Hybrid model. During Remote Learning, BMS is providing curbside meal service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday through Friday for students. Have a safe weekend!! Go Eagles!!
Good Afternoon Belen Middle School Families. At this time, we have not yet received the go ahead from the NM Public Education Department to begin our In-Person Hybrid model at Belen Middle School. We anticipate getting an update by the end of the week and will forward that information to you as soon as it is available.
Belen Middle School: Student Nutrition at BMS will continue to make and provide breakfast and lunch from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm daily until we begin Hybrid / In-Person learning. We encourage all students to come and pick up their free meals daily with our curbside service located off of Baca Ave. Parents may pick up meals for students by providing their student's name and student ID number. Eagle Volleyball is just around the corner! Any BMS girl that would like to try out needs to take care of their physical paperwork requirements ASAP. Attendance during Remote Learning will be based on Schoology class participation. Welcome back!! Advisory teachers have started contacting families to get students going with Microsoft Teams and Schoology. Students should be logging in to Schoology this week to look at Classroom Information, answer any discussions posted and check for any assignments. Teachers will start scheduling Team meetings with students for live introductions and initial instruction later this week. School Bus Ridership registration is now online. Bus registrations are posted on our webpage at www.beleneagles.org. From our home page select menu and from the dropdown list select Transportation Information. The Ridership Forms are posted in English and Spanish. Download, complete and return to busridership@beleneagles.org or fax to: 505/966-1185. Students must be registered prior to pick up.

BMS Registration Drive-Thru:
Registration packets for the 2020-2021 SY will be handed out on Friday, August 7th from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on the east side of the school in front of the main entrance. Completed packets may be returned on Wednesday, August 12th from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm following the same drive-thru process. Schedules will be handed out to those with completed packets on that day.
