Good Afternoon Eagle Families, Please remember today we will begin having vehicles for the parent pick-up line and the Daycare enter from Christopher Road, turn west and travel north behind the football stadium, then turn east onto the main drive through campus to enter the existing parent pick up driveway, and then exit campus through the front gates down Delgado. Students will be waiting in the current pick-up area in front of the 900 building. Please click on the link to see a map: https://5il.co/2hp0b Note that there will be no entry through the school front gates until after 2:40, once campus has cleared. Eagle Families, Next, please remember the change in parent and daycare pick-up for the afternoons only beginning Monday 4/8. The purpose of the change is to prevent vehicles from standing/parking on the north side of Delgado, as there are gas lines directly underneath and city officials want to prevent any issues. City officials & BPD Chief Harris have collaborated with BCS Administration to change the traffic flow. Vehicles will enter from Christopher Road and travel west behind the football stadium then turn east onto the main road through campus. Parents enter the existing parent pick-up driveway where students will wait in the same area as they do now. Daycare parents will follow the same route. The changed flow should prevent back-ups as this entire area allows for more vehicles. PLEASE DO NOT ENCOURAGE YOUR CHILD TO MEET YOU ON CHRISTOPHER ROAD, as this will pose increased safety risks because busses will be exiting through Christopher Rd. All pick-ups will occur in the existing pick-up area, we are only changing where parent vehicles will access the pick-up area. Attached is a link showing the route to follow. https://5il.co/2hp0b

Hello Eagle Families, Thank you for your attention to this and two other important messages for next week. First, we would like to remind you to caution your children about the upcoming solar eclipse that will occur during our lunch period Monday 4/8/24. NASA has warned the public not to look at the eclipse without special safety glasses, to avoid eye damage. The agency also warned of looking at the sun through a camera lens, binoculars or a telescope without a special-purpose solar filter secured over the front of the optics will instantly cause severe eye injury. Please note BCS will not be providing safety glasses or solar filters. Thank you-stay tuned for message #2
