Good Evening La Promesa Families. We are starting the state assessment, New Mexico Measures of Student Success and Achievement, tomorrow April 3rd. Our 3rd graders will be taking the assessment on April 3rd and 4th and our 4th graders will start on Thursday April 6th. Hello 6th grade parents: We will be holding a spring immunization clinic for all 6th graders that need Tdap, Meningococcal and HPV (optional). These immunizations are required for enrollment in 7th grade. These spring immunization clinics will be held April 13th-19th (dates will vary depending on the school). If you would like your student to receive these vaccines free of charge, please fill out and return the permission slip. Permission slips will be going home March 21st and need to be returned no later than April 4th. Reminder your student will not be able to enroll in 7th grade without these immunizations. Good Evening La Promesa Families. We will be celebrating Dr. Seuss Week this week to promote reading! On Monday we'll be Reading "Fox in Socks" and wearing silly socks. On Tuesday we'll wear green and read "Green Eggs and Ham". Then we'll have wacky Wednesday and wear wacky clothes. On Thursday we'll read the classic "Cat in the Hat" and wear our favorite hats. We'll end the week with "If I Ran the Zoo" and wearing animal print clothes. We are looking forward to celebrating reading this week.

Good Afternoon La Promesa Families. Belen Consolidated Schools is implementing the Raptor security system beginning Monday February 6, 2023. This system requires all adults entering the school to provide identification. Please be aware that if you are coming to school you will need to have identification to present at the front window or you will not be allowed to enter the building. We are looking forward to seeing all our Kindergarten to 6th grade students tomorrow January 5th to start our second semester. For K to 6th grade students, tomorrow is a regular schedule day-starting at 8:50 with dismissal at 4:00. Our Pre K students will return on Monday January 9th. Our Learning Through Games Club will be meeting tomorrow and Friday and our other after school clubs will return next week. Please call our office between 8:00 and 4:00 if you have any questions. Free Tutoring for PreK-8 Students PED announces its new tutoring service in partnership with Paper that focuses on mathematics, language arts and science. The program offers students in grades preK-8 from New Mexico Title I Schools access to free academic support from tutors on a secure platform. All Belen Consolidated Schools’ students who choose to participate will receive 20 hours of tutoring at no cost to families. Good Evening La Promesa families. We will be having our Winter Festival on Tuesday December 20th from 5:30-7:00. Our Music teacher, Mr. Sivertson, has been working with all our students on performing holiday songs at the Festival. Our Pre-K through 1st grade students will start the performances at 5:35 and our other grades will follow. Please have students at school by 5:30 for the performances if they are able to participate. We will also have our Luminaria Tour, coffee, hot chocolate and cookies sales and a basket raffle. It will be a wonderful evening, and we are looking forward to seeing you all there.
