Good afternoon, There has been a rash of messages on social media regarding the possibility of a school shooting happening tomorrow at all BCS sites including one that is no longer in existence. I want to assure you that we take all such reports seriously no matter how farfetched they may seem. In working with Belen PD, we have found no evidence to substantiate these claims. We will continue to remain on alert. If you become aware of any new information please share with Belen PD.

Good evening La Promesa Families. Next week our 3rd to 6th grade students will be taking the Wellbeing Survey. Please call our office if you have any questions. On Wednesday we will be having our Road Runner Food Bank distribution in the cafeteria at 2:00. Families, please remember to notify the office before 3:00 if there is a change in your child's dismissal. We need to have enough time to make sure they are in the correct place to go home. September is Attendance Awareness Month! Dear Students and Parents, As we kick off the new school year, we want to emphasize the importance of consistent attendance. Being present at school every day is crucial for academic success, personal growth, and building lifelong habits of responsibility and commitment. When students attend school regularly, they are more likely to perform better, stay engaged, and achieve their full potential. In celebration of September Attendance Awareness Month, we are excited to announce a special incentive! Students who achieve perfect attendance for the entire month of September—meaning they are present every day, from the first bell to the last—will be awarded a certificate of recognition along with a prize as a token of our appreciation for their dedication. Good Morning La Promesa Families. Our 3rd through 6th grade students will be taking the beginning of year Interim Measures of Student Success and Achievement. assessment this week. This assessment will provide information on our students current levels of achievement. Please call our office if you have any questions.

Good morning La Promesa Families. Today we will be having an evacuation drill. We will be walking to the health clinic next door to practice exiting the building in a safe and orderly manner. This will be a practice drill to be prepared for any event that might require us to leave the building.
