Happy Sunday Everyone. We are starting our before school recess tomorrow for grades 1-6. Students will be sent to the playground at drop off. Staff that had hallway duty on Mondays will be on the playground at 8:40. All classroom teachers need to be on the playground at 8:50. Students should place their backpacks near the classroom doors. They will pick up their breakfasts on the playground outside the doors that go toward the library at 8:55 and then to class to eat breakfast. Let me know if you have questions. Thank you
Good Evening La Promesa Families. We are happy to announce that our after-school clubs will be starting on Monday October 5th. A form went home today with the names of the clubs and the days each club will be offered. Please turn in the form as soon as possible so that we can register students. Please call our office at 505-966-2400 if you have any questions.

Good Morning La Promesa Families. Our beginning of the year testing starts next week, Students in grades K-2 will be taking the Amira Reading and Math assessments, and grades 3rd to 6th will take the Interim Measures of Students Success and Achievement. These assessments will give us important information on our students’ achievement to help us plan instruction. Thank you for your support in having students here and on time.

Please take a moment and answer the questions on the letter to share with us your thoughts and help us build a strong instructional program that includes activity breaks for students. Our wonderful Coach Skinner is stepping down from coaching our boy’s district basketball team, and we are in need of a new coach The season lasts from September through October and requires about fours a week after school. If there is anyone in our school community interested in coaching, please call our office at 505-966-2400.
