Good Morning La Promesa Families. Our after-school clubs are starting today! On Mondays we will have Arts and Crafts, STEAM, Yoga, Textile Arts and Word Detectives. Tutoring will also continue on Mondays. If your child has been signed up to attend any of these after-school activities, we will be keeping them at school unless we hear from parents or guardians to have them go home at school dismissal. All after school programs are from 3:45 to 4:45, and students will need to be picked up at 4:45 outside the cafeteria. We are looking forward to a great year of extracurricular fun!
Buenos días familias de La Promesa. ¡Nuestros clubes después de la escuela comienzan hoy! Los lunes tendremos Artes y Manualidades, STEAM, Yoga, Artes Textiles y Detectives de Palabras. La tutoría también continuará los lunes. Si su hijo ha sido inscrito para asistir a alguna de estas actividades después de la escuela, lo mantendremos en la escuela a menos que recibamos noticias de los padres o tutores para que se vaya a casa al final del día escolar. Todos los programas después de la escuela son de 3:45 a 4:45, y los estudiantes deberán ser recogidos a las 4:45 fuera de la cafetería. ¡Estamos emocionados por un gran año de diversión extracurricular!

Good Afternoon La Promesa Families. Two weeks ago, we started having a morning recess before the school day starts, and it has been a success for students and staff. Students are able to be in the fresh air (when it is not pouring rain) and play outside before going to the classroom and focusing on their schoolwork. Now that October has begun, the mornings can be chilly. Please send a sweater or jacket with your child. We are also seeing students wearing sandals. Please remember that closed-toed shoes are required at school for the safety of our students. If you have any difficulties with shoes or clothing, please let us know. We have an onsite clothing bank with items for students. Thank you.
Buenas tardes, familias de La Promesa. Hace dos semanas, comenzamos a tener un recreo por la mañana antes de que empiece el día escolar, y ha sido un éxito para los estudiantes y el personal. Los estudiantes pueden estar al aire libre (cuando no está lloviendo a cántaros) y jugar antes de ir al aula y concentrarse en su trabajo escolar. Ahora que ha comenzado octubre, las mañanas pueden ser frescas. Por favor, envíen un suéter o chaqueta con su hijo(a). También hemos notado que algunos estudiantes están usando sandalias. Recuerden que se requieren zapatos cerrados en la escuela para la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes. Si tienen algún problema con los zapatos o la ropa, por favor háganoslo saber. Contamos con un banco de ropa en la escuela con artículos para los estudiantes. Gracias.

Good Afternoon La Promesa Families. We are excited to announce that our After-School Clubs will be starting next Monday October 5th. Unfortunately, we do not have transportation for our after-school clubs. Students will need to be picked up at the cafeteria door at 4:45. If your child is not staying on any day, please notify the office. To maintain safety, we will be keeping students enrolled in clubs at school unless the office is notified that they will be going home at 3:41. Happy Sunday Everyone. We are starting our before school recess tomorrow for grades 1-6. Students will be sent to the playground at drop off. Staff that had hallway duty on Mondays will be on the playground at 8:40. All classroom teachers need to be on the playground at 8:50. Students should place their backpacks near the classroom doors. They will pick up their breakfasts on the playground outside the doors that go toward the library at 8:55 and then to class to eat breakfast. Let me know if you have questions. Thank you
