Good afternoon Thunderbird Parents/Guardians, Permission slips have been sent home for our Spring Fundraiser. In order for your student to receive their first and each box after we must have a parent signature. Last day to receive a box is March 29th and ALL money is due no later than April 5th. Important Information for La Merced Elementary: Students will be dismissed at 1:51 PM today due to Parent/Teacher Conferences. There will be No School on Friday, February 16th due to Parent/Teacher Conferences and Monday, February 19th due to President's Day. We will return to a regular schedule on Tuesday, February 20th.

Scholastic Book Fair hours this week are Monday Tuesday Wednesday from 8 to 4. Thursday from 8 to 7 PM during parent teacher conferences. We will also have the Boba truck outside or anyone that would like to purchase Boba as well. They will be there until 7 PM and Friday from eight to noon. If they have any questions, you can always call Ms. Nancy Saiz in the library at 505-966-2126.

Parents, We will be sending home a Student Pick-Up Sheet which needs to be filled out and returned as soon as possible. Please list individuals over the age of 18 that you would like listed as individuals who can pick up your student(s). Also, remember that a valid government issued Driver's License is required in order for your student to be released. Thank you for your time and cooperation.

ALL Valencia County residents have FREE admission to the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science and a Planetarium show in February 2024.

Parents get your orders in for your La Merced t-shirts. The last day to get these ordered is this Friday. Orders must be placed online at the following link www.spiritgeardirect.com then search our state and our school name.

Parents: If you are checking out a student or attending an activity on campus, we require a government issued id for all. We must scan your id each and every time. Please have them ready before you get to the office. Thank you for your understanding and keeping your students safe.

Hello La Merced Families, Many thanks to all who attended our holiday festival last night. We had an amazing turn out and most importantly, I believe your children enjoyed it a lot. I hope we can do something similar soon. As a reminder, students will be out of school starting tomorrow, December 21. They will return on Monday, January 8th. Our school nurse is currently in need of donations to assist our students in various ways. If you have the means to contribute, we would greatly appreciate any help you can provide. The nurse is specifically seeking donations for the following items: 1. Boys Jackets 2. Boys and Girls Pants (sizes 5, 6, 7, 8) 3. Boys and Girls Underwear 4. Boys and Girls Shoes (smaller sizes preferably) If you are able to donate any of the mentioned items, please feel free to drop them off at the school office during regular school hours. Your generosity will make a significant difference in the lives of our students, especially during the holiday season.
