What a great couple of days at DCE it has been! Just a reminder we have early release the next three days. Dismissal is at 12:30 as usual. Please disregard a previous message that said 12:45. On Thursday students will take home a supply list for next year, test scores from this year and a book to read for the summer! Report cards will be mailed soon. Thank you for an amazing year and have a safe and relaxing summer.

Due to possible rain and colder weather, we are moving our field day to Monday, May 22. Many of our activities would have had to be cancelled with cold and rainy weather and our students would not have enjoyed the day as they deserve to. Thank you to all the parent volunteers who have graciously agreed to continue helping us on Monday. Scheduled volunteers will pick up their map and station information when they sign in on Monday. Once again, don't forget to send the kiddos with a change of clothes. Thank you, The Field Day Committee.

As we approach the end of the year, we would like to notify you of a few end of the year activities.
Tomorrow at 9am parents or guardians of our Kindergarten students are invited to our Kinder Celebration in the cafeteria.
This Friday the 19th is Field Day. You may want to send your child with a full change of clothes on that day, due to water activities. They will need to return the signed permission slip in order to attend. Only volunteers confirmed by our field day committee will be allowed on campus. We ask that if you are a volunteer you do not bring any other children with you on that day.
Tuesday, May 23 is our 6th Grade World Cultural Day.
Also, please note that the last 3 days (24th, 25th and 26th) of school are early release days at 12:45.

Please do not forget to return the permission slip for the Exotic Animal Show and Field Day. The animal show is tomorrow! Students who do not return it will not be allowed to attend the show. Thank you!

Calling all future Road Runners! Kindergarten registration is now open for incoming students for the 2023-2024 school year. Students must turn 5 prior to September 1, 2017 to be eligible. Please spread the word. The sooner we register students the sooner we can secure our staff! Call or come by the office for more information.

Please look for two permission slips that went home today. One is for an exotic animal show here at school next week and the other is for field day next Friday. Please sign and return both on Monday. Thank you!

We are conducting our last round of assessments in the next two weeks. These provide us with very important data about how our students progressed this year. Attendance is very important. Thank you for making every effort to have students here on time and for not checking them out early. We appreciate your help!

Students took home copies of our May newsletter attached below. Enjoy your evening.

Good afternoon. For the students who earned it, permission slips went out today for our PBIS incentive field trip to the museum next Friday 5/5. To earn the trip, students needed to earn 60 PBIS points and not have any referrals in the month of April. We have many students who met the criteria and some who did not. We will have teachers on site staying with the students who did not earn the trip. Have a great weekend!

We will be drawing the winners of our fabulous baskets tomorrow morning at 10:45am. All winners will be notified by phone. We will be on Facebook Live for the drawing if you would like to tune in! Our Facebook Page is

6th grade families: Tomorrow 6th grade has a field trip to BMS. We were asked to request that parents refrain from attending this trip. This time is for students to get oriented to the campus and meet some of the staff. They will be registering for their classes at DCE the following week. Thank your for your cooperation.
