**Pick up Line** - The Belen Police department has directed us to adjust our pick-up procedures. There can only be one line to pick up students, in order to allow room for emergency vehicles to get through on Esparanza Street if necessary. Thank you for your patience and understanding on this issue.

**Reminder- Today is EARLY RELEASE at 1:20pm for teacher in-service and PICTURE DAY.

Good afternoon, Dennis Chavez Elementary School,
I hope you are all enjoying the Labor Day weekend. A quick reminder that Wednesday September 3rd is an early release day for students. Pick up will start at 1:21 pm, and busses will leave campus at 1:28 pm. Also, the RGEC afterschool program will not be open on that day due to campus maintenance.

DCE is looking for a parent volunteer to coach 6th grade boys basketball. As with all volunteer positions, you must pass a background check through the BCS district office before you start.
