I hope you are all enjoying the Labor Day weekend. A quick reminder that Wednesday September 3rd is an early release day for students. Pick up will start at 1:21 pm, and busses will leave campus at 1:28 pm. Also, the RGEC afterschool program will not be open on that day due to campus maintenance.
Tomorrow 8/29/2025, at 9:30 am, all Staff and Students at Dennis Chavez Elementary will practice an evacuation plan that includes walking south across Esparanza Street to the Teacher Resource Center. Once all students have been counted, we will return to campus and resume our normal school activities.

The first day of school is upon us, we are excited to start our last school year in the "Old H.T. Jaramillo Building"! Teachers have been working very hard to prepare for our students! Attached is a letter from Principal Marquez and a map that shows our drop off and pick up. See you tomorrow morning. Drop off starts at 8:35am and pick up at 3:26pm.
I am pleased to announce that we will start school in person Monday 8/4/2025! We are cleared to occupy campus while repairs are being made to the kitchen and cafeteria. Thank you for your patience in this matter. I will send out a letter shortly with more information about open house on Friday!
