Hello DCE Families!
We hope you and your children are enjoying a fun, relaxing, and well-deserved summer break. While our students are recharging, our staff has been hard at work preparing for another outstanding school year!
We also have some great news to share!
Thanks to the Belen Consolidated Schools Finance Department and their excellent stewardship of our public funds, families will not need to purchase school supplies this year. The district will provide the necessary classroom supplies for every student. The only item families will need to provide is a backpack.
We know that back-to-school expenses can add up quickly, and we are grateful to our district leadership for making this possible and helping ease that burden for our families.
Over the next few weeks, we'll continue sharing important back-to-school information, including class schedules, meet-the-teacher events, and other important dates.
Until then, enjoy the rest of your summer, make time for reading together, and we'll see everyone soon for another great year at Dennis Chavez Elementary!

**Reminder Wednesday 5/20 and Thursday 5/21 are both half day release. Students will be dismissed for pick up at 12:30 pm. Busses will leave DCE by 12:38. Lunch will be served to students starting at 10:50.
