DCE- In honor of Homecoming Week at BHS we will be having a "Pajama" day tomorrow Thursday, 9/24, for students, however with the wet weather, you may want to make sure they wear warm pajamas and skip the slippers for rain boots. It has been a great start to the school year. Enrollment took a big jump this year with the addition of 16 PreK students and an influx of about 40 new students. We have had to make some adjustments and add two new classroom teachers in addition to the PreK teacher. I thank you for your patience during this process. Earlier this year I sent out the afternoon pick up map and directions, along with the student handbook, which outline all the policies and procedures specific to Dennis Chavez Elementary. Both of these documents are available on our website; I ask that if you have not already reviewed these please do so at your convenience.

We’ve had a great first two weeks of school, and our Roadrunners are off to a strong start! Thank you for helping us establish positive routines and making good attendance and arriving on time every day a priority. Every day—and every minute—of instruction matters!
A quick technology reminder: If your student still has any district technology from the summer at home, including laptops, iPads, chargers, or other accessories, please send those items back to school with your student as soon as possible.
