Good afternoon, I would like to remind you that we will begin prescheduling for the 2020-2021 school year on Monday, June 15th beginning with seniors. We will work with juniors on Tuesday, June 16, sophomores on Wednesday June 17 and Freshmen, June 18. Our counselors will be working with small groups of students using Microsoft Teams to communicate with the students online. We will also be using a program called Xello to assist students in registering for classes. Directions on how to log are on our website. Students need to be able to log into their B H S email. We have turned on the student emails for incoming freshmen. We will be sending out Microsoft Teams invites over the next few days to students so they can know what day and time they are scheduled to work with the counselors. All help documents that students need can be found in the 2020-2021 Student Scheduling folder on the B H S website. As we prepare for the upcoming school year there are many uncertainties. Belen Consolidated Schools is working on preparing for students to re-enter school in the fall. The Public Education Department is working with a task force to provide guidance. The link to access the 2020-2021 Student Calendar that was approved by the School Board is: https://go.aws/37m3V2p. We are anticipating that we will start school as scheduled on August 18th. We are hopeful that it will be in-person with all our students but are preparing for variations that may need to take place do to COVID-19 CDC guidelines. We recognize that students are our foundation and will make decisions that positively impact their learning and well-being.

Good afternoon, we wanted to provide you with some final information concerning the drive thru graduation ceremonies tomorrow evening. Please enter the B H S campus at the west end by the football field. This entrance can be accessed by using Christopher Road. We will open the west entrance no later than 5:30 pm. Graduates can bring with them the maximum number of passengers their vehicle can hold. Graduates must present their graduation tickets before entering the BHS campus. We are asking that no one other than the graduate leaves the vehicle during the ceremony. Graduates, please wear your caps and gowns and wear a face mask when you exit the vehicle to receive your diploma. The event will be live streamed. The link will be found on the B C S homepage which is https://www.beleneagles.org/o/bcs The link will not appear until about 20 minutes before the live stream will begin. We are planning on broadcasting the prerecorded speeches first approximately 20 minutes before the graduation ceremony begins. As soon as the speeches are done, the live part of the event will begin. We also hope to make the recording of the event available to you all for future viewing and download. If students are in good standing, they will receive their diplomas tomorrow night. This year's 2020 Belen High School and Infinity High School Graduation will be a drive-thru ceremony held on June 9th. We sent our carefully developed plan for a ceremony to take place in the Eagle Stadium to the Secretary of Education. Doctor Stewart consulted with the Governor's Office. Due to the current health orders we are under, we will not be permitted to have the ceremony in the stadium. This is not the news we were hoping to hear; however, the safety of our students, staff, and community is essential, and we must follow the health orders. The Administration at B H S and I H S have plans in place so that those who wish to can view a live stream of the ceremony. Our entire staff is saddened by this news. We were greatly hoping we would be able to send off the Class of 2020 with the graduation ceremony they have worked hard for. and greatly deserve.

Good afternoon, I am sure many of you have been anxiously waiting for information concerning the graduation ceremony scheduled for June 9. Unfortunately, we still do not have approval from the state to do a live on the field graduation for students nor have we received permission to have guests. We are hoping that by limiting the number of guests to 2 per student, we will have a better chance of getting approval to do the live ceremony. There are no plans for practice as of now, again because of the Governor's ban on large gatherings. If we are not given permission to have a live graduation, we will have a drive-thru graduation. Regardless, the graduation ceremony will be live streamed over YouTube. The link to the stream will be available on the B H S website. We are finalizing plans right now. Tomorrow we will send out plans for both the live ceremony and the drive thru ceremony.

2020-2021 B H S Course Catalog Good afternoon, the course catalog for the next school year is ready and can be found under documents on the B H S website in the 2020 2021 student scheduling folder. We will start registering students the week of June 15. More information on how the registration process will work will be available soon.

Good afternoon, I know many of you are wondering when students will be able to register for classes for the next school year. As of now the plan is register online through Power School. Next Monday we will make the Course Catalog available online so students can begin to plan what courses they would like to take. Our plan is to start the registration process on Monday, June 15 beginning with next year's seniors and proceeding from there through each class, one day at a time. We will be sending more information to you on how to complete the process as the time draws closer.

Update Graduation tickets will be available for pickup beginning on May 26. I am sorry for the confusion. I for that May 25 is Memorial Day.
