There will be a solar eclipse this Monday April 8th starting at 11:15 a.m. To avoid the danger of looking directly at the sun, we will be having indoor recess on that day. Please help us keep our students safe by reminding them that looking directly at the sun can cause eye damage. Thank you.

Please spread the word to anyone who has a child entering PreK or Kindergarten next year to come by school to register. We need proof of residence, a birth certificate and vaccine records. Good Evening La Promesa Families. This week we are celebrating Dr. Seuss Read Across America Week. On Monday we are cozying up to a good book and wearing our pajamas. Tuesday is read my shirt day, and we'll be wearing shirts that have positive message. Wednesday is hats off to reading-wear your hats. Thursday is books bring out our wild side, and we're wearing animal print clothes, and Friday is wear your Belen School gear because books bring us together. It is going to be a fun week celebrating reading!

Good Morning La Promesa Families. We are having our monthly Road Runner Food Bank distribution today at 2:00 in the cafeteria. Please bring bags or a box to pick up the distribution. Next month, the distribution will be moved from the second Wednesday of the month to the third, March 20th.

Good evening La Promesa Families. We are starting a Learning Through Games after school club. The club will be from 3:45 to 4:45 Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Unfortunately, we do not have transportation after the club, so students will need to be picked up. A form is being sent home today to sign students up. Please return the form if you would like your child to participate in this great after school club.

Good Afternoon La Promesa Families. Today is the last day of semester one and the last day of school before Winter Break! This week we cleaned out some of our closets, and we're sending math manipulatives home with students. They are for students to keep and use to practice some math. Wishing everyone a wonderful vacation. Our office will be closing at 4:00 today. We'll see you all on January 8th.

However, we will not have our afternoon clubs - no Cooking Club or Ballet Folklorico. We wish you all happy holidays, and we'll see back on January 8th.
