Hello Parents and Guardians of La Merced Elementary. We are now enrolling kindergarten students. Please let your relatives, friends, and neighbors know if they have a kindergarten student. Our office is open from 7:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. -4:00 p.m. Please do come and enroll as soon as possible to avoid the last minute rush. The first day of school is August 2nd. If you have any questions about registration at La Merced, please contact Ms. Rachel Estep at 505-966-2101 or email her at estepr@beleneagles.org.

Good morning Eagle Families, A reminder that Monday, June 19th is a recognized state holiday in honor of Juneteenth. All BCS sites will be closed that day in observance of the holiday.

This afternoon until 6pm is Family Night at our Book Fair. The Book Fair is open from now until 6pm. All parents and families are welcome to visit. Every student that comes will be entered into a drawing for a boys and a girls book basket!!

6th grade students are testing tomorrow and Tuesday for the NM-MSSA which is the state test. Please see that your child is present to school, on time, and does not leave early. Thank you.

5th graders will NM-MSSA test tomorrow and Friday of this week. This is the state test for both ELA and Math. Our students are ready and we are confident they will do well! Please see that your 5th grader is on time and present at school the next two days.

4th grade students will test in ELA tomorrow, Thursday 4/6, for NM-MSSA, the state test. As there is no school on Friday 4/7 and Monday 4/10, 4th graders will test again in Math on Tues. 4/11. Please see that your child is present and on time as students do best when they test with their homeroom. It's show time! Our students are ready and will make us proud!

3rd grade students did an excellent job with testing today on ELA! We only had 3 students absent! Many students took their time and did their best. Tomorrow is their 2nd and last day of testing and will be on Math. Please be sure that your child is present and on time. Thank you families for your support!

Attention Parents of 6th Graders: BCS will be holding a spring immunization clinic for all current 6th graders who need Tdap, Meningococcal, and HPV (optional). These immunizations are required for enrollment in 7th grade. The immunization clinics will be held April 13—19th. (Dates very depending on the school). If you would like your student to receive these vaccinations free of charge, please fill out and return the attached permission slip. Permission slips need to be returned by April 4th. Reminder—your student will not be able to enroll in 7th grade without these immunizations. If you have any questions call the La Merced Nurse at 966-2122.
