Good morning IHS Students! I hope everyone is doing well and is being productive! Be sure to be completing Edgenuity assignments and meeting via Teams with your teacher. Students, if you are NOT logging onto Teams with your Advisory teacher or NOT available online - this is considered an absence. It is so important that you are engaging in your learning and ensuring you are completing daily assignments and work. IF you are having issues, you need to contact your Advisory teacher ASAP. For parents who need internet service, Internet Essentials (a product of Xfinity) is an excellent solution for many people. If you click the link below, then click the link LOW-COST INTERNET APPLICATION, it will take you to the easy and quick application. Simply put in your address, if your address is serviceable it will take you to a few questions. One of those questions is, " Does your child receive the free lunch program?" (NOTE: All BCS students receive free lunch). Infinity High School Parents/Teachers/Students: As the Principal of the Alternative Schools, I wanted to let everyone know that we are doing our best to plan and move forward with the new school year. There is a lot of unknowns and valid concerns from every person and family. I am a firm believer of staying positive and doing our best with whatever our situation is... The survey is designed to get an idea of what people need/want for their students. Please know if you want 100% online learning - we WILL offer it to you and your student... As we prepare for the upcoming school year there are many uncertainties. Belen Consolidated Schools is working on preparing for students to re-enter school in the fall. The Public Education Department is working with a task force to provide guidance. The link to access the 2020-2021 Student Calendar that was approved by the School Board is: https://go.aws/37m3V2p. We are anticipating that we will start school as scheduled on August 18th. We are hopeful that it will be in-person with all our students but are preparing for variations that may need to take place do to COVID-19 CDC guidelines. We recognize that students are our foundation and will make decisions that positively impact their learning and well-being.
