Today is Graduation for the Class of 2020! I wanted to give some information on a few items... And, this is the easiest way to send it. Students - the ceremony will start at 6:00 p.m. I will attach the information for driving on the next text. -Please remember to be professional, courteous and patient... this is the first time we are doing a virtual/drive thru graduation, so we need to be mindful of the guidelines. but also one another; -Graduates - please remind your drivers to be safe and attentive. -Don't forget to bring a mask for when your name is called; -Your tassel goes on the right and moves to left when you get your diploma; -Dress professionally (I am sure pictures will be taken) -Please do not exit out of your vehicles; -And, smile! Good morning, This year's 2020 Belen High School and Infinity High School Graduation will be a drive-thru ceremony held on June 9th. We sent our carefully developed plan for our ceremony to take place in the Eagle Stadium to the Secretary of Education, Dr. Stewart consulted with the Governor's Office and due to the current health orders we are under, we will NOT be permitted to have the ceremony in the stadium as planned. This is not the news we were hoping to hear; however, the safety of our students, staff, and community is essential, and we must follow the health orders. The Administration at BHS and IHS have plans in place so that those who wish to can view a live stream of the ceremony. Seniors will use the 'drive thru' expectations (our backup plan) that was sent on Monday. Students/Parents: Once more, here is the schedule for this evenings Senior Class of 2020 6:45pm to 7:30pm: Hand out care packages to the graduates. (Graduates line up on Becker from 5th east to 1st. Parade to be lead by BPD/BFD.) 7:30pm: Park-and-honk parade begins. 8pm: Park-and-honk parade ends. 8:20pm: Lights at the Belen Eagle stadium.
