U.S. News & World Report: Public 2022 Recently published; the first-ever rankings of public elementary schools, and the news is good for Gil Sanchez Elementary: Gil Sanchez Elementary School placed among the top 30% of elementary schools in the state of New Mexico, making it to the U.S. News Best Elementary School. At Gil Sanchez Elementary, 57% of students scored at or above the proficient level for math, and 52% scored at or above that level for reading. Rankings: Gil Sanchez Elementary is ranked #11 in New Mexico Elementary Schools. Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation, and how well they prepare their students for high school. GSE-We have started our GSE-Beef Raffle Fundraiser. Red Doc Farms has sponsored a full head of beef, fully processed and ready for your freezer. Your help in selling these tickets is greatly appreciated. They come in books of 5 and are $10.00 per ticket. Three winners will be drawn on Dec. 15th. Prizes will be as follows: 2nd and 3rd place will be 1/4 of the processed beef, and 1st place will be 1/2 of the processed beef.
The class that sells the most tickets will get a pizza party.
Permission slips went home yesterday. You can also come by the office to purchase tickets or pick up books of tickets to sell.
