BMS Students!! Please be ready and logged into Schoology Tuesday, September 8th at 8:00am for your Social Studies class. Students need to attend their classes daily in Schoology. Attendance during Remote Learning will be based on Schoology class participation. A copy of the Remote Learning Schedule can be found at https://www.beleneagles.org/o/bms/documents along with a copy of the Student Acceptable Uses of Technology Agreement. Welcome back!! Advisory teachers have started contacting families to get students going with Microsoft Teams and Schoology. Students should be logging in to Schoology this week to look at Classroom Information, answer any discussions posted and check for any assignments. Teachers will start scheduling Team meetings with students for live introductions and initial instruction later this week. Hello from the Belen Consolidated Schools Transportation Department. School Bus Ridership registration is now online. Bus registrations are posted on our webpage at www.beleneagles.org. From our home page select menu and from the dropdown list select Transportation Information. The Ridership Forms are posted in English and Spanish. BMS Registration Drive-Thru: Registration packets for the 2020-2021 SY will be handed out on Friday, August 7th from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on the east side of the school in front of the main entrance. Completed packets may be returned on Wednesday, August 12th from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm following the same drive-thru process. Schedules will be handed out to those with completed packets on that day. BMS YEARBOOKS!! If you purchased a yearbook, please stop by the office Monday - Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm to pick up your yearbook. Additional yearbooks are available for purchase for $35.

BMS-Important Re-entry Survey In preparation for the reopening of schools, please fill out the survey below for each student at BMS. The survey provides two options for learning in the fall. Options are as follows: Option 1: Hybrid Model: Students will attend two days a week at the school site and participate remotely on the other three days of the week. Option 2: Online Model: Students will attend all classes online and not report to the school site. Attention Incoming 7th & 8th Graders: If you have not picked classes for next year already, please turn in your preregistration form. Preregistration forms can be accessed through the BMS website at https://www.beleneagles.org/o/bms/documents or can be picked up at the East gate entrance across from the football field at BMS. Once you have filled out your form, please return it to the East gate entrance in the designated drop box. The office is open Monday - Friday from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm. Be safe and take care!!

Attention Class of 2024: I would like to remind you that we will begin prescheduling for the 2020-2021 school year on Monday, June 15th beginning with seniors. We will work with juniors on Tuesday, June 16, sophomores on Wednesday June 17 and Freshmen, June 18. Our counselors will be working with small groups of students using Microsoft Teams to communicate with the students online. We will also be using a program called Xello to assist students in registering for classes. Directions on how to log are on our website. Students need to be able to log into their B H S email. We have turned on the student emails for incoming freshmen. We will be sending out Microsoft Teams invites over the next few days to students so they can know what day and time they are scheduled to work with the counselors. All help documents that students need can be found in the 2020-2021 Student Scheduling folder on the B H S website. You will then click on the 2020-2021 Student Scheduling folder. We will be having makeup sessions for students who are unable to attend their meeting or do not have a device.

As we prepare for the upcoming school year there are many uncertainties. Belen Consolidated Schools is working on preparing for students to re-enter school in the fall. The Public Education Department is working with a task force to provide guidance. The link to access the 2020-2021 Student Calendar that was approved by the School Board is: https://go.aws/37m3V2p. We are anticipating that we will start school as scheduled on August 18th. We are hopeful that it will be in-person with all our students but are preparing for variations that may need to take place do to COVID-19 CDC guidelines. We recognize that students are our foundation and will make decisions that positively impact their learning and well-being.

Attention Current BMS 8th Graders: 2020-2021 B H S Course Catalog Good afternoon, the course catalog for the next school year is ready and can be found under documents on the B H S website in the 2020 2021 student scheduling folder. We will start registering students the week of June 15. More information on how the registration process will work will be available soon.

BMS Summer Office Hours Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 3:00 pm

BMS 7th Graders - Preregistration forms for next year are due by Wednesday, May 20th. Forms can be obtained through the website under documents or at the East gate entrance. Forms may be dropped off Monday - Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm.

Beginning Monday, April 27th, BMS will have two drop-off boxes located at the East Gate entrance to return student work and library books. Yearbooks can now be purchased at www.balfour.com for $35. Yearbooks may also be purchased by phone at 1-800-944-5930. Take care!!
