Good afternoon, To follow-up on our previous message. The only information that we have is that there are postings on social media saying that there will be shootings at each one of our sites. We have not found any proof that these threats are true. We are working with Belen PD. They will have an officer posted at each school site tomorrow. Again, we have no information other than what I have shared.

Good afternoon, There has been a rash of messages on social media regarding the possibility of a school shooting happening tomorrow at all BCS sites including one that is no longer in existence. I want to assure you that we take all such reports seriously no matter how farfetched they may seem. In working with Belen PD, we have found no evidence to substantiate these claims. We will continue to remain on alert. If you become aware of any new information please share with Belen PD.

Some of the parents stated they knew of parents who did not know about this Committee, so I wanted to reach out to everyone again. BHS Families, We're excited to announce a new member joining our BHS family. Please join us in welcoming Jim Schapekahm as our new Assistant Principal. Jim brings a wealth of experience & passion for education that will greatly benefit our students & staff. We're confident he will be a fantastic addition to our team.

Beginning nest week, all students wishing to leave campus during their free periods will need either a completed permission form signed and returned, or will need a parent/guardian to sign them out. Once your schedule is set, please pick up a form and return it early to avoid any delay in this process.

BHS Families! Students wishing to park on campus have until Aug 16th to obtain a parking pass. The number on your parking pass is the space you are assigned to park in. To purchase a pass you will need to acknowledge/agree to the parking rules, a valid NM driver's license, a valid NM registration & insurance, & $20.

Good Evening BHS Families! First off, we would like to thank you for a relatively smooth first few days back! A few reminders to help traffic flow go smoother this year. First, please remember to pull all the way up to the end of the drop-off lane or up to the next stopped car before letting your student out of the car. This will decrease the amount of time everyone is waiting in line to drop-off and allow all students the opportunity to get to their classes on time. Second, Belen PD would like us to remind you there is no pickup in the afternoons on Delgado Avenue and Eagle Lane. They will begin citing individuals who fail to cease this behavior. Again, thank you all as we work through the beginning of this school year!

Good afternoon BHS Families! This is a reminder that BHS will be hosting a Back to School Kick-off tonight at 5:00 in the BHS auditorium. Come with your questions or just to see what's new at BHS. We hope to see as many families as possible!

Good evening Eagle Families! Tomorrow we will kick-of a new school year! Student drop-off and pick-up will follow last year's traffic routes. Drop-off vehicles will enter and exit through east Delgado gates. Student parking will enter through the east Eagle Ln gate. Drop-off will enter through the west gate off Christopher and exit the east Delgado gate. Student Parking will exit through the west gates. See you all tomorrow, classes start at 7:20.
