August 9, 2021 Confirmed Case of COVID-19: Belen Consolidated Schools has confirmed a student at Belen High School in Belen, NM has tested positive for COVID-19. There were no close contacts. All the appropriate steps as per NMPED guidance has been completed. If you feel you have any symptoms of COVID-19, please contact the Department of Health Coronavirus Hotline at 1-855-600-3453. If you have any concerns, please call the district at (505) 966-1271.

The employee has not been on campus since Monday August 2 and there were no close contacts. All the appropriate steps as per NMPED guidance has been completed. Hello Eagle Families, If you watched the board meeting last night, the Board approved the requirement that all individuals on BCS transportation and in the building on BCS sites wear a mask regardless of vaccination status. While outside the building and eating lunch, individuals on BCS sites do not have to wear a mask but can if they choose to do so. This requirement is for the school day and for all school sponsored events. I applaud the Board for taking this action that follows the recommended COVID safe practices for keeping students in school and hopefully prevents us from having to return to remote learning at times throughout the year. Thank you for your assistance in meeting this BCS expectation.
