Rio Grande parents, Rio Grande Elementary has gone to great lengths to make sure that our students are safe within our school walls. We have provided each classroom with dividers, daily disinfecting takes place in various forms, each classroom has an air scrubber, hand washing/hand sanitizing is done on a regular basis, social distancing practices and mask wearing are reinforced. As you are also aware we do not allow anyone in the building that is not associated with Belen Consolidated Schools as an added measure of protection. If by chance someone has been identified with COVID and your child is suspected of being a close contact then you will be notified immediately. Thank you for entrusting us to care and educate your child/children during this health crisis. We work very hard to ensure our students are learning in a safe environment. Thank you!

Good afternoon RGE parents and guardians. We have had several instances of people speeding through the parking lot in order to either drop-off or pick-up their child. Please remember that we have students getting in and out of vehicles and it is a danger to the children to be speeding in the parking lot. Also, please refrain from parking across the street in front of people's houses in order to pick-up your child. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
