Central Families, Basketball tryouts today 6-8pm at Central Elementary. Open to all 4th-6th grade boys and girls.

Central Families, Our chocolate fundraiser has come to an end. We appreciate all your support in helping us make this fundraiser a success. Please return money or any unsold chocolate. We still have 31 boxes out. We need to try and get all boxes back in so that we can determine prizes. Today at P/T Conferences would be a great time. Thank you so much!

Central Families, Don't forget that tomorrow Thursday October 10, 2024 is an abbreviated day: 8:30am-12:50pm. Teachers' dinner is from 1-2pm and conferences will be from 2-7pm. No school on Friday October 11, 2024 and no school on Monday October 14, 2024. Please make sure to reach out to your child's teacher to setup a conference. RGEC hours are: 1-4pm on 10/10 and no program on 10/11.

Central Families, First Leadership Lunch of the school year. Thank you Mayor Noblin for being our community guest. Always great things taking place at Central Elementary!

Central Families, Our boys and girls’ basketball teams are rocking it! Girls are undefeated 5/0 and our boys have only had one loss. Way to go! I want to let you know that this month we have started lunch detention as one of our consequences for students that have received a concern slip or referral for not following our school rules. We appreciate your support in this. We are working hard with our students this year to have high expectations academically and socially.

Good afternoon, To follow-up on our previous message. The only information that we have is that there are postings on social media saying that there will be shootings at each one of our sites. We have not found any proof that these threats are true. We are working with Belen PD. They will have an officer posted at each school site tomorrow. Again, we have no information other than what I have shared.

Good afternoon, There has been a rash of messages on social media regarding the possibility of a school shooting happening tomorrow at all BCS sites including one that is no longer in existence. I want to assure you that we take all such reports seriously no matter how farfetched they may seem. In working with Belen PD, we have found no evidence to substantiate these claims. We will continue to remain on alert. If you become aware of any new information please share with Belen PD.

CES Families, Our staff is aware of rumors surrounding Central ES. We take threats and safety very seriously. After investigating we believe no cause for concern exists. Staff will follow up throughout the night with this incident. If anything is seen on social media or mentioned, please forward the information to law enforcement and CES administration ASAP. It has been a busy and fun month! We recognized students’ success on state testing during our August assembly. The theme this year is "Success Train." Students that were proficient & advanced in ELA & Math received a candy train and tracks to let them know that that their train is on track. This month we also recognized positive behavior with snow cones & lunch dance parties.
