DEAR BHS FAMILIES & COMMUNITY
This week BHS Drama is opening Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None.
We would like to send out a cautionary note to all of the contents of this particular performance. The original book is the world's best-selling mystery and, with over 100 million copies sold, is one of the best-selling books of all time. The novel has been listed as the seventh best-selling title (any language, including reference works) of all time. It has also been taught in high school classrooms around the world including in our senior English classes in previous years. While our society is challenged by issues surrounding these topics we felt it was worth producing and (spoiler alert) "the bad guy gets it in the end." "Gunshots" that happen during the final scene of the production. Our Director (Mr. Caleb Ramsell) has thoughtfully and deliberately chosen to maintain this action from the original production while eliminating a forced suicide by a female actor.
With Administrative approval and having notified Belen Police Department and our BHS security Team. We want you to be aware that a starters pistol (referred to within the Production team as "The Prop") will be used for the final scene of the play. Weapons handling safety protocols will be in place ( an adult will control and check "The Prop," hand it to the actor for the scene and will immediately take control of The Prop when it comes off stage.)
What this means to you - -There will be 3 loud gun shots (the sound effect) during 3rd/4th period Wednesday Dec 3 (daytime performance), and again during the evening productions Dec, 4, 5 and 6.
BHS Drama has worked diligently to put on this performance and would like to invite you to come see one of our evening shows on Dec. 4th, 5th, or 6th. Doors open at 6:30PM. BHS Faculty and Staff get in free with their ID.
Thank you,
Caleb Ramsell & Stephen Boliver

Tomorrow, BHS will be hosting our annual Eagle Expo. This is an opportunity for our students to speak and learn from local business partners and colleges about post-high school opportunities. This is a required school day, and is a great opportunity for all students to learn about various options after high school. All students will begin the day in their Student Development class. Thank you all, and we hope to see you all there!

Good Evening BHS Families!
Tomorrow is BHS's Fall State testing day. All students will begin in their Student Development class where they will be notified which room they are to report to. This is a required school day for all BHS students 9-12. All 9th, 10th, & 11th grade students will be testing in the morning. 12th graders who signed up to take a practice ACT, SAT, or ASVAB test will do so. All other 12th graders will be working on an assigned English IV assignment in the morning. After lunch, all 12th graders will participate in a FASFA event in the auditorium. Please ensure your student brings their school issued laptop fully charged for the day as charging ports are extremely limited in testing rooms. Also, please ensure your student arrives on time tomorrow to ensure a smooth experience and to avoid having to miss class for their make-up test. Thank you all for your assistance with this!

We are making every effort to get the game played at West Mesa. We will send out a message as soon as we know more. Thank you for your patience and GO EAGLES!

Apologies for all of the messages. We just received word that though we do have electricity in the 700 building, we do not have internet access at this time. Students who are currently on the bus to BHS will be transported back home this morning. Sorry for the confusion and any inconvenience.
