Belen Consolidated Schools wanted all stakeholders to know that, for the 2026–2027 school year, the district will purchase and supply essential school materials for all students in the designated grade bands. This initiative ensures every child begins the school year prepared and ready to learn, reducing barriers for families and supporting classroom instruction across the district.
This initiative reflects our commitment to equity and academic success. We recognize that families are experiencing rising expenses. By providing these essential supplies for every student, we remove one more obstacle to learning and ensure teachers and students can focus on instruction from day one.”
The district will provide grade-appropriate supplies based on the 2026-2027 Belen Schools K–12 lists:
K–3:
Supply/pencil box, pencils, student scissors, markers, crayons, colored pencils, glue sticks, pink erasers, dry-erase markers, folders with pockets, and grade-specific notebooks.
·4–8:
Supply/pencil box, pencils, colored pencils, glue sticks, loose-leaf paper (wide-ruled for lower grades; college-ruled for 7–8), spiral and composition notebooks, highlighters, graph paper (6–8), folders with pockets, and dry-erase markers.
9–12:
Pencils and pens, dry-erase markers, tracing paper, graph paper, composition notebooks, pocket folders with brads, loose-leaf paper, highlighters, and colored pencils.
