Belen Consolidated Schools is excited to announce a significant update to the NMPED’s Anti-Racism Anti-Oppression (ARAO) initiative, aimed at fostering a more inclusive and equitable environment within our educational community. Effective September 1, 2023, the ARAO portal will transition to accept submissions exclusively through the NMPED online platform, marking a rebranding and revitalization of this essential resource.

Embracing Progress: Going Digital

As part of our ongoing commitment to combat racism and oppression, the NMPED is taking strides to improve the accessibility and user-friendliness of the NMPED ARAO portal. By moving to an online submission system, the NMPED is making it easier for our students, staff, and community members to share their thoughts, experiences, and suggestions anonymously, securely, and efficiently.

Key Changes:

1.  Online Submissions Only:  Starting September 1, 2023, all submissions to the Anti-Racism Anti-Oppression portal must be made through the dedicated online platform. This transition will streamline the process and ensure that every voice is heard.

2.  No More Phone Submissions:  The phone number previously associated with the ARAO portal will no longer be in use. This change aligns with the NMPED’s digital shift and their commitment to enhancing the quality of service we provide.

How to Access the ARAO Portal:

To access the ARAO portal and submit your experiences, thoughts, and suggestions, please visit https://www.beleneagles.org/page/anti-racism-anti-oppression-hotline. We encourage all members of our community to take advantage of this platform to help us build a more inclusive and equitable educational environment.

Belen Consolidated Schools is excited about the future of the ARAO initiative and remains steadfast in our commitment to combating racism and oppression within our educational community.
