Central Familes, All BCS schools have been tasked at creating a parent site council at each school to increase parent involvement. I had a meeting at the beginning of the school year and did not have a big turnout. We will be having a meeting tomorrow December 13, 2024 afterschool at 3:30pm. Good morning, Eagle families, I wanted to share with you information about the Cops to Tots program that is sponsored by the Belen Police Department and will provide Christmas presents to Belen children whose family signs up for the program. You can register at the Belen Police Department. You must have a current water bill for proof of residency. The deadline to register is Friday, December 6.

Central Families, Don't forget our fun dress up days and good deeds all month. Calendar was sent out before break. Good morning, Eagle families, Our apologies that parents, teachers, and families received PowerSchool Notifications in the early morning hours today.  PowerSchool experienced a coding issue that inadvertently sent out test notifications to all users.  PowerSchool has resolved the problem and do not expect any more early morning test notifications.

Central Families, Don't forget that we have our Fall Festival this Friday November 15, 2024, from 5-7pm. We hope to have a good turnout so that we can make this an annual event. All students will get 10 free tickets to spend. If you wish to purchase more tickets, we appreciate the support as all funds go back to the school and your kiddos. All Belen Consolidated Schools students will be on a two-hour delay on Thursday November 7, 2024. Staff is asked to arrive as close to their reporting time as the weather allows.

CES Families, Fun and busy week ahead. Don't forget our fun dress up days for Red Ribbon Week: Mon.-Pajama Day "Follow Your Dreams Be Drug Free", Tue.-Wear Red "Rally in Red Stand up to Drugs", Wed.-Dress Like a Coach "Stomp out Drugs", Thur.-Dress Like a Storybook Character (1:30pm Parade), Fri.-Neon Day-"Our Future is Bright" We also have our Halloween dance for those students that met their goals in ELA, Math, and behavior. We are also having a fun Rock, Paper, Scissors student competition.

Central Families, I want to thank Senator Sanchez for providing Central with 126 pumpkins and the school purchased the remainder so that all students/families can get one large pumpkin. Central Families, We have a great opportunity for all our students. It is FREE reading tutoring afterschool starting October 21, 2024-December 6, 2024. It is through the state but several of our teachers have been trained to administer the program. Permission slips went out today. Please get your child signed up. We want to start next week. It will be Monday-Thursday 3:30-4:30pm. You will need to provide transportation. Let's help our kiddos excel in Reading.
