Belen Consolidated Schools and the City of Belen are excited to announce a  collaboration aimed at elevating school safety and fostering a secure learning environment for students. The joint effort involves the introduction of two additional School Resource Officers (SROs) for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year.

Recognizing the paramount importance of student safety, Belen Consolidated Schools and the City of Belen have united their resources and expertise to enhance the security measures within educational institutions. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to prioritize the well-being of students, staff, and the broader community.

The deployment of the two new School Resource Officers signifies a significant expansion of the existing security framework. These officers will be dedicated to fostering positive relationships with students and faculty while diligently safeguarding the campuses. The SROs will play a multifaceted role, including serving as mentors, liaisons between law enforcement and the school community, and proactive contributors to the prevention of potential threats.
