BHS Class of 2023 and Parents/Guardians,
We are only a few months away from graduation! As it is the beginning of March, we wanted to send out the
details that we do know in order to help you with graduation planning. There are still events and details yet to be
determined, as they become available, we will post them on the Belen High School Class of 2023 Facebook page.

Important Dates/Notes;
Academic Assembly- To be determined
- March 11-19, 2023 –Spring Break
- March 21, 2023; 10:30am-1:00pm–Delivery of caps/gowns and announcements from Campus Specialties.
- April 1, 2023 –Last day to purchase a Yearbook, cost $85; purchase online at entourageyearbooks.com. Yearbooks will be in the first week of May. NO extras will be ordered.
- April 11th-14th
- RSVP/Purchase Banquet tickets. We will pay for Class of 2023 Seniors, who RSVP. Family members are
invited to attend and must purchase tickets by April 14th, there will be no sales after this time. Cost per ticket will be
$20.00 per person and will be sold starting April 11th, all money must be paid by April 14th

RSVP.
- By April 26, 2023 – Report all scholarships received, college or military acceptance, or post-graduation plans to the
Senior Counselors, Royce Ann Lafayette, Angela Duran in the 900 building (counseling office) and Mrs. Robin Phillips in the front office.
- Class Dues and Fees: No LATER than April 17h
-Fees are associated with an elective class (ex: Art, Band, Culinary, etc.)
Dues are for senior shirts, banquet, etc., these should be paid to Mrs. Klaudia Sánchez in the front office no later than
April 17h. Students cannot attend activities if these dues are not paid, nor will they be able to check out, and consequently will not receive their diploma until all fees/dues are paid.
- March 16-April 9, 2023—A “Memories” video is being created to be played at the Senior Banquet. Submit pictures to
BHSseniorbanquet@gmail.com Pictures can be of the graduate(s) from kindergarten through senior year.
- April 22, 2023; 8:00pm-12:00am –Junior and Senior Prom held at BHS gym.

- Wednesday, May 3, 2023; 5:00pm. – Banquet Ceremony in the gym. All who are attending must RSVP and/or purchase tickets in the front office by April 14th, 2023. We need an exact count for the caterer. At check-in, each graduate will receive a ticket for door prizes which will be given during the banquet. The “memories” video will be played. Families are permitted to take photos as their graduate comes up to be recognized from the designated area
at the stage exit. In addition, the stage and background will be available after the ceremony for photos. Bring your gowns!
- May 8th and 9th, 2023 – Senior Final Exams and/or EOCs. Make up exams May 10th – May 12th
- May 11 and 12, 2023– Senior clearance and check out. You will pick up forms from your counselor on the 10th, not before. Any outstanding dues (Choir, Welding, ROTC etc.) or (books, computers, etc.) must be paid at checkout and a signature grade obtained from each teacher. If senior checkout has not been completed you will not walk the line.
BHS will modify the daily schedule for the following days:
