Kathleen Pickering, Belen Public Library Director, and Community Services Administrator, and artist and educator Paula Castillo are thrilled to announce a collaboration between the Belen Consolidated Schools and the City of Belen's Arts & Cultural District. Pickering and Castillo will host a series of student art exhibits in the Belen Public Library to coincide with community events celebrating Belen. Up first is Belen Chamber of Commerce's Rio Abajo Days on September 25.  Middle School's Art Educator Camillia Termini's students will exhibit work highlighting artwork made by current 9th & 10th grade BHS students. These are student artists who never returned to Middle School Art Class after transitioning to remote learning in March 2020. Come out for Rio Abajo Days! On your way up and down Becker Avenue, stop in to see the student artwork in the community room at the library.
