We were very honored today to have veterans from our community come visit La Promesa. The veterans were greeted by our student welcoming committee and shared donuts and coffee with us. Then our visitors led the flag salutes in the cafeteria and after visited classrooms to share their experiences. This was a truly wonderful experience for our students to hear from heroes in our community. An extra special treat was provided by the Ortiz family. They brought a military truck for our students to view. It was an overall great experience for our students and our community.
