Mr. Jeffrey Anderson
Jeffrey Anderson is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where he received a B. A. in History. While studying anthropology at the University of Texas, he worked as a field archaeologist in the Gila, Cibola, and Santa Fe National Forests, developing his love of the state of New Mexico. He attended music school at Texas State University in San Marcos, Tx.
Mr. Anderson taught social studies and band in central Texas, in and around Austin, for 15 years. He then moved to west Texas where he served as Assistant Band Director at the Plains Independent School District, then served as Director of Bands for the Culberson County-Allamoore Consolidated Independent School District before coming to Belen.
In addition to his duties with Belen Consolidated Schools, Mr. Anderson is minister of music for Our Lady Of Belen Catholic Church. He performs on the trombone with the Albuquerque Concert Band, Westside Sound, and the Dukes of Albuquerque.
When he is not teaching or playing music, Mr. Anderson likes to camp, hike, and climb in the mountains of New Mexico. His daughter is a senior at Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville, TX. where she plays the flute in the Hawk Band.
