4th Grade News
The 4th graders are working hard to meet the new Common Core standards in language arts and math. To help students meet these new language arts standards, students will be working on little research projects throughout the year that support social studies and science topics. Students will be expected to read more informational text as they progress through their academic careers. Reading these types of text will prepare our students for college and future careers.Math is also a little different this year with the new standards as well. Students are expected to work in cooperative groups and share their thinking about problems and ideas. Students are also working on modeling new concepts and “showing” their thinking with the Singapore modeling method.
We would like to invite parents to participate in our classroom activities.
