BCS Parents, Guardians, and Community,
We are back to another exciting school year with new challenges and new opportunities. At Belen Consolidated Schools’ we educate the Right Way! We will continue to build relationships, plan together, and evaluate the results of the work. We plan to keep and move our Safety, Customer Service, and Parent Engagement initiatives forward. The good work that the staff is doing each and every day is showing positive results. More importantly, with the quality and the efforts put forth by teachers and support staff, we can be confident that we are constantly improving the quality of education for our Belen students.
It is well known that students who get support from home do better than those who don’t. It is so very important that every student knows that education and the schools they attend are valued and that this is truly a route to a successful life. It is important to the students that they know there are others outside of the school that are interested and supportive of what they do inside of the school.
In our rapidly changing world, our teachers and staff are keeping our focus on Student Learning. We have the best and brightest students and staff in this State. We appreciate the continued support from parents and the community as we overcome hurdles while keeping our energy where it must be – with students and their future with their chosen careers or college. We cannot allow the changing world to impact the foundation of respect that we rely on in Public Education.
Whenever you find the opportunity, please thank your child’s teacher or school site staff. They are the professionals that are molding your child’s knowledge and character.
“Our attitudes determine our altitude.” Everyone involved in our learning community must continue the commitment to keep it positive this year and it will spread to others you influence. This, in turn, is good for our students, our community, our state, and our nation.
We are off to a great start and fully expect the 2017-2018 School Year to be the best ever!
